Hello, we’re nearing the end of the year and I’m looking for non-personal suggestions to fill my bucket list with.
The theme I’m going for is indcated in the title of this post. Non-fiction humanities is preferred but I definitely wouldn’t mind other genres. Also, I don’t want to restrain myself to one side of political spectrum, the more diverse the better.
Thank you in advance!
Maybe you could give Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo a try? They’re both written by Jose Rizal, and depicts life in the Philippines during the colonial rule of Spain (in the lens of fictional tragic romance). I have only finished El Filibusterismo for school last February, though.
I highly appreciate your helpful comment. This perhaps is a good introduction for the rise of a nationalistic spirit anong the colonized people. I will keep them in mind, thanks!
I thought my comment was delivered too late, I’m glad it reached you :)
