  • Idk I found it very fun, not game of the year or anything but if you’re going into it with high expectations you’re obviously going to be disappointed. Riding around on the train I felt to be a very satisfying game mechanic, and Charles himself was designed very well. And yeah, it’s kind of short, but it plays well with how the game goes, it respects your time and doesn’t make you go on some cheap “collect x from y” missions for 30 hours, which granted half the missions are like “collect x from y” but it’s why I’m fine with it being short. It is a bit much for $20 but at least it goes on sale all the time, like it’s currently $6 which is more than fair in my opinion.

  • I had a foreign exchange student from Turkmenistan stay with my family in the US for a year and it was pretty interesting, he was able to slide into our culture pretty well, the biggest issue I remember actually came when he went back home and the government pretty much refused to let him leave the country again and treated him kind of like a potential threat. To be honest, I don’t really remember very much about Turkmenistan other than that, he didn’t talk too much on it.

  • I honestly might recommend escape from tarkov, it’s just that I honestly don’t respect the devs very much. But it’s a very good game, you can play on PvE mode so no need to worry about timezones or anything like that. It has a incredibly in depth gun system since its pretty much just real gun mechanics, and I honestly love that about the game, it has taught me so much about guns and their attachments. The one thing is that it can have a low time to kill, but there’s an in depth armor mechanic to the game that can change that. On top of all that, it’s an extraction shooter, which conceptually is literally just an fps roguelite. Just a warning, it doesn’t allow Linux users if you are one, even for PvE mode, but there’s a mod you can get called SPT(single player tarkov), and it allows you to play on Linux on top of allowing you to mod it further.

  • The name is based on the game rogue from way back in the day, a roguelike is really just any game that has a gameplay loop where you completely reset without any carryover of items or skills, and a roguelite is the same but there will be a small amount of carryover of skills or items or something like that. For instance the binding of Issac is a popular roguelite, you lose all your items when you restart but you can unlock characters that persist even if you die.
