Christopher Rufo is the f’n guy that Ron DeSantis put in charge of destroying New College in Florida, a bastion of liberal schooling in the state:
Chris Rufo is on a crusade against diversity, equality, and inequality education, he works hand in hand with the Mom’s for Liberty Nazis.
He’s also the guy who’s singlehandedly responsible for CRT turning into the right’s new boogeyman.
And he says it all openly, but news organizations still act like his campaigns are just part of an authentic groundswell against things people didn’t give a single thought to before.
Can we please not call things ‘scientific’ and ‘theory’ when they are neither?

Also, there’s a whole big history of scientists trying to come up with bullshit ways to justify their racism and of people going “well, a scientist said it, it must be true!” that I really think we shouldn’t forget

Because waaayyy too many media outlets no longer have the staff to vet stories before the “click counter” posts them.
