Is this something in the metadata of the file?
Id say those are subtitles. Either in the same folder (srt file) or they are included in the mkv. You can use a tool like mkvtool to remove them from the file or just turn them off in whatever player you are using.
You are right, it’s part of the subtitles. Not sure why I did not think of that.
Also thanks for recommending mkvtool, never heard of it until now which is great because when I play LOTR from a flash drive on my TV, it defaults to Italian language.
it defaults to Italian language
It must be a sign…
🔫🦉Impara l’italiano
🤌 Sotomarino Giallo 🤌
That’s the only italian I know, because I saw a Beatles poster in italian once
🤌frah-gee-leh🤌 It must be Italian!

Reale 🤌🤌
Already know about two words and one doubles as two adjectives, I say you’re off to a good start!
Awesome! Glad to hear it.
Those (as you already found out) are coming most likely from the subs.
But FYI: You can also embed the title in the video file and can embed an nfo in the mkv.
MkVToolnix can help you changing the file/metadata.
