    Excellent. The less indigenous nations have to rely on the U.S. government, and thus gain back some sovereignty, the better.

      The tribes could even sell their excess power to the federal grid, reducing demand on fossil fuel power while providing an economic boost for the (typically) highly impoverished tribal population

    To be fair about it, the US has brought a lot of power lines to people, not just native Americans. Glad to see its Standing Rock.
