Not sure if anyone has a similar thing they do. There have been some arguments lately in our car so I guess here we are.
A guide for people on Lemmy under 10 years old
Lemmings fear the 10 year old Arch Linux user looking for car games.
You don’t do Cruiser Bruiser?
For a PT cruiser? Vanishingly rare in aus! But might be worth adding
We only had “punch bug what colour?” and you’d get hit repeatedly until you either saw it or guessed what colour it was.
No punching in our car. But we yell “spotto” for yellow cars.
And we actually count Teslas. Eg. Yell out “Tesla 7”. Next one will be “Tesla 8”.
Tesla record is 87 in a 24 hour period.
That bzz one would resolve before most people here in Norway was fully out on the road.
The Jimny Wave is a thing, if we see another person driving a Jimny, we wave to each other.
It used to be people in Jeeps would wave, but people who drive Jeeps (an G-Wagons) are all yuppie snobs. Occasionally you will see someone in a 2-door Wranger who isn’t a snob…
Fun fact, if you see someone driving a Jeep Wranger with a spare wheel rim, but no tyre, you will immediately know three things about them.
- They have replaced their factory tyre with illegally oversized tyres.
- They are idiots who do not understand how reality works.
- They are of a certain racial group with a caste-based social structure. Manual labour like changing a wheel when they have a flat tyre is beneath their status.
2CV is missing
??
Where I’m from (Germany) we used to play it with the Citroën 2CV.

Had to be friendly for young kids, I mean if everyone is a bit older and they can handle it, could get a bit rough in the backseat.
could get a bit rough in the backseat.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of those except for just plain Slug Bug.
The other game we used to play, probably at least 20 years ago now, was if you saw an oncoming car with a headlight out, you’d yell “sex” and everyone has to touch the ceiling, and then iirc the original spotter got to punch the last person to touch the ceiling. Dunno if that’s still a thing or not.
Didn’t know the classic beetle was even available in Australia, really cool.
